BOSS Roll Taps are designed to produce internal threads by forming the material rather than cutting and removing chips.
Unlike conventional cutting taps, the forming process generates no chips during tapping. The material is displaced and formed according to the thread profile, producing a rolled thread surface with a smooth and consistent appearance.
According to the BOSS catalog, the material structure is not destroyed during forming, which can increase thread strength by approximately 30% while maintaining consistent accuracy under the specified conditions.
