Overview
Sailner SUP Series consists of dedicated support materials used together with modeling materials during the 3D printing process. Support materials help maintain overhangs, complex geometries and other difficult-to-print structures.
Sailner currently lists three main support materials in the SUP Series. SUP5000 generates a jelly-like support structure and can be removed using methods such as water guns or sandblasting. SUP5100 is an alkali-soluble support material that can be dissolved and removed using a 1–5% sodium hydroxide solution. SUP5200 is a hot-melt wax support material that can be heated into a liquid state for easier removal.
The appropriate support material depends on the modeling material, model geometry and required post-processing method.
